Then join the team at Our Ark where you'll help make a difference everyday. We are in need of an Executive Director to work on the overall strategic and operational responsibility for Our Ark affiliate programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. With the support of a part-time marketing whiz you will help them to achieve their fundraising objectives and develop the new approach to launching affiliate programs and associated operations
Description: What you'll be doing:
This role will focus on outreach and development activities. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Our Ark staff, affiliate programs, expansion.
Responsibilities
Operates under the sole guidance of, and reports directly to Board of Directors
o Assists with local fund development activities.
o Implements and maintains the operations as set forth in Our Ark manuals of operations
and as directed by the Board of Directors.
o Ensures that the local program operates in accordance with the bylaws, articles of
incorporation and mission of Our Ark.
o Submits the year’s local program annual budget and program goals the current year;
o Submits all Program and Financial Reports to the Board of Directors in a timely manner;
o Identifies the times and places Leadership Team meetings;
o Prepares the agenda for, and presides over, all meetings of the Leadership Team;
o Implements the kid, volunteer and Sponsor recognition program in accordance with the
guidelines established by the Board.
o Supervises all Leadership Team members to ensure proper performance of duties.
Actively engage and energize Our Ark volunteers, board members, committees, partnering organizations, and funders.
Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors; serve as ex-officio of each committee; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing local operations as well as for the affiliate rollout.
Lead, coach, develop, and retain OFC limited staff.
Ensure effective systems to track overall progress. Regularly evaluate program components (evidence-based) to measure successes and challenges. Effectively communicate results to the board, funders, and other constituents.
